Finance Manager Position for Justice and Accountability Activity in Ethiopia

About the Justice and Accountability Activity
The Justice and Accountability Activity in Ethiopia aims to strengthen the justice sector, promote access to justice, and enhance accountability mechanisms. This program works closely with government institutions, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to improve the delivery of justice services, empower marginalized communities, and combat corruption.
Responsibilities
As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the Justice and Accountability Activity. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures in compliance with organizational and donor requirements
- Preparing and managing project budgets, including forecasting and monitoring expenditures
- Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting to donors and other stakeholders
- Managing cash flow, including overseeing payroll and vendor payments
- Conducting regular financial analysis and providing recommendations for cost-saving measures
- Collaborating with program teams to ensure financial sustainability and accountability
- Supervising finance staff and providing training and support as needed
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the non-profit sector
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of financial systems and procedures
- Experience with donor-funded projects and knowledge of donor regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse team
- Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite
