Awash Bank invites competent and qualified candidates for the following vacant job positions.
Awash Bank, Ethiopia’s pioneering private bank, was established on November 10, 1994, after the downfall of the socialist regime. The Bank was established by 486 founding shareholders with a paid-up capital of Birr 24.2 million and started banking operations on Feb. 13, 1995.
Since embarking operation, the Bank has registered remarkable growth. Notwithstanding global and domestic challenges, Awash Bank has exhibited a superior operational and financial performances among private banks operating in Ethiopia. Awash Bank is currently working towards strengthening its capital base, technological capabilities, human resources and customer base.
Position 1: Generator Technician
- Place of Work: Addis Ababa (V. No HO/00491/24)
- Salary offer: as per company scale
Qualification & Experience:
Diploma in Auto Mechanic, Electricity or related fields plus a minimum of 3 years in generator maintenance and installation.
The job holder is responsible for maintaining and operating the generator as per the standard procedures of the manufacturer. S/he troubleshoots and details fault analysis. The jobholder ensures maximum generator availability and best possible equipment condition in branches and head office.
Position 2: Branch Manager – Class I Branch

- Salary offer: as per company scale
Qualification & Experience:
BA Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration plus a minimum eleven (11) years’ experience in the banking sector, three (3) of which is at supervisory role.
The job holder is responsible to plan, organize, lead, and control the banking activities of a branch office. S/he ensures that operating procedures, rules, regulations and code of practices of the bank are adhered to by subordinates. The jobholder leads the branch sales and customer service initiatives and guides branch operational excellence. S/he prepares and submits annual budget, operational plan and activity and progress reports.
Position 3: Manager – Partnership Management Division

- Salary offer: as per company scale
Qualification & Experience:
BA Degree in Marketing Management, Communication /Public Relations/, Journalism and related field with a minimum of Ten (10) years of relevant experience of which at least 3 years in supervisory role.
- Training on Marketing Management. (added advantage)
- Masters in a related course (added advantage)
The jobholder is responsible to plan, develop, and implement commercial and strategic relationships with different organizations in accordance with the Bank’s overarching objectives, strategic goals and strategies. S/he studies and carries out partnership management tasks to build value-creating partner relationship; upon approval from the supervisor, establish and maintain relationship with partners and offer new ways to grow the partnership.
The jobholder builds the corporate image to maintain a reputation of quality service and to promote trust and establish confidence with partners, customers and employee.
Position 4: Office Machine Technician
- Place of Work: Addis Ababa (V. No HO/00490/24)
- Salary offer: as per company scale
Qualification & Experience:
Diploma in Electronics or related fields plus a minimum of 3 years in handling office machines.
The job holder maintains all types of Bank’s office equipment and is involved in testing, configuration and integration of new office equipment prior to introduction into the operation environment.
Position 5: Branch Manager – Class II Branch

Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance and Economics plus minimum of eight (8) years of relevant banking experience of which three (3) years in a supervisory position.
The job holder is responsible to plan, organize, lead, and control the banking activities of a branch office. S/he ensures that operating procedures, rules, regulations and code of practices of the bank are adhered to by subordinates. The jobholder leads the branch sales and customer service initiatives and guides branch operational excellence. S/he prepares and submits annual budget, operational plan and activity and progress reports
Position 7: Branch Manager – Class III Branch
- Place of Work: Branches available in Addis Ababa City (V. No HO/00488/24)
- Salary offer: as per company scale
Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics or related discipline plus minimum of nine (9) years of relevant banking experience of which three (3) years in a supervisory position
The job holder is responsible to plan, organize, lead, and control the banking activities of a branch office. S/he ensures that operating procedures, rules, regulations and code of practices of the bank are adhered to by subordinates. The jobholder leads the branch sales and customer service initiatives and guides branch operational excellence. S/he prepares and submits annual budget, operational plan and activity and progress reports. The jobholder participates in various community activities and keeps in close touch with the business community to promote services offered by the Bank
