Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Provides product management as needed, including identifying enhancements in products, sales processes, and quality control.
•Understands pricing, costing, budgeting, forecasting, and proposal models.
•Maintains existing business and seeks new business to increase sales volume while maintaining profit margins.
•Exhibits business development skills to optimize market share acquisition from competitors.
•Penetrates customer organizations to elevate sales opportunities to the highest level and forge key relationships.
•Develops marketing strategies to enhance product penetration in the industry.
•Contributes to the creation of marketing or promotional materials.
•Ensures the company’s products are included in the master specifications of Owners and/or Consulting Engineers.
•Addresses technical inquiries from customer service, inside sales, outside sales, owners, etc., regarding the company’s products.
•Engages with customers and distributors to confirm service details and product suitability.
•Delivers technical presentations on products/services to owners, engineers, distributors, etc., when necessary.
•Persuades customers or distributors to choose the company’s products.
•Conducts periodic job-site visits for product installation inspections and training sessions.
•Supports other sales engineers when necessary; educates customer service or inside sales on the most common technical inquiries.
•Seeks opportunities for cross-selling and aids other business units in identifying new sales leads.

Reporting to: Technical Sales Manager/Marketing Associate

Job Requirement

Qualifications:

  • BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.

Skills needed:

  • Product management experience with emphasis being in products for Commercial cleaning supplies.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to quickly learn broad in-depth knowledge in a short period of time.
  • Good communication ability on telephone, in person, and in written technical correspondence. Attentive and responsive to our market and customer needs. Ability to make professional presentations in front of large groups and close on sales opportunities.
  • Excellent organization skills required to manage numerous issues and responsibilities at once.
  • Must like and be willing to travel at least 25% in a typical month (occasionally on short notice).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
